Transparent Film Dressing for Wounds

The transparent dressing is also called film dressing. It is made by applying pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side of the ordinary medical film. It is impervious to liquids, bacteria, and viruses, which enhance wound healing, improve outcomes and patient comforts. And its visualization eliminates unnecessary dressing changes, reduces patient discomfort, and saves nursing time. PS122 provides a waterproof, sterile barrier to external contaminants including liquids, bacteria, and viruses. The transparent dressing provides complete and continuous visibility to the I.V. insertion site. And it allows continuous monitoring of the I.V. site or wound without disturbing or removing the dressing. Importantly, the transparent film dressing should not be used on the infected wounds or wounds exuding much fluid.
